Erica Intzekostas has been practicing law in Philadelphia since 1997. Erica focuses her practice in the areas of business law, contracts, and trademarks. She has represented small and medium size businesses in a variety of industries, including ISP, web hosting, technology, biometric identification, SEO, software, SaaS, marketing, real estate, fashion and apparel, food service, healthcare, and alternative energy. Erica works with business owners, high-level corporate executives, and in-house counsel, using her years of experience to provide legal advice and risk analysis in support of strategic business initiatives and objectives. Erica has a deep appreciation for the need to find the right balance between legal risks and business goals.
During law school Erica clerked for a federal judge and interned at the Brooklyn Office for the Aging. After graduating from Brooklyn Law School, Erica moved to Philadelphia and earned a masters of law degree at Villanova University School of Law. After completing law school, Erica worked at a Center City Philadelphia law firm as a corporate lawyer. Following the events of 9/11, Erica was engaged by one of the firm’s clients to produce two government-commissioned reports on the interplay between privacy law and the use of biometric recognition technology. The first report focused on the United States and the second report focused on the privacy laws of the EU and other countries. Erica presented the findings of the reports to government officials and industry executives at the 2005 Biometric Consortium Conference in Arlington, VA.
Erica received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Rochester in 1993, a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1996, a Masters of Law from Villanova University in 1997, and a Certificate in Employee Benefits from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2004.
Erica is admitted to the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York bars.
